Weight-loss Pen (Liraglutide or Saxenda)

Liraglutide (Saxenda) is an injectable medication for weight loss that has been approved by the US FDA since 2014. It acts by reducing appetite and slowing down stomach-emptying time, allowing one to eat less. Studies have shown that liraglutide can result in a weight loss of at least 5% within the first 2 months of use and at least 10% within the first year of use.

It is considered a safe medication with minimal side effects. Some patients who use liraglutide may experience nausea, loss of appetite, diarrhea, or constipation. However, these symptoms are not experienced by everyone and usually improve within 1-2 weeks of use.
